For cafes
A small room, with a lot going on.
An independent cafe is several businesses run by a few people: a counter, a kitchen, a stockroom, a payroll and a set of books, all before ten in the morning. Brewly runs them together, so the room can stay small and the owner can stay on the floor.
Wherever you are
Three places a cafe can be.
- 01
Before the doors open
Start with the numbers in place.
Put the menu, the recipes and the shelf into Brewly before the first guest walks in. What each cup costs and what to order next are known from day one, not worked out a year later from a pile of bills.
- 02
One cafe, every day
Keep the rush quick and the night calm.
A counter that keeps pace at half past eight. A till that matches when you count it. A report at the end of the day that tells you how it went, so Sunday night is yours again.
- 03
A cafe with a real kitchen
Let the pass and the shelf talk to each other.
Tickets reach the bar and the kitchen as the order is placed. Ingredients come off the shelf as dishes are made, so a shortfall shows while you can still do something about it.
Who uses it
Everyone sees their own part of the day.
What each person can do follows their role, and every action carries a name.
- Owner
- Sees the day, the cost, the shelf and the team from wherever they are. Sets the rules, and the limits everyone else works within.
- Manager
- Runs the floor and the stockroom. Can ask the owner to change a price, within limits the owner sets.
- Cashier
- Bills at the counter with a personal passcode, and opens and counts the till.
- Waiter
- Takes the order at the table from their own phone, with the table map and their own shift in the same place.
- Chef
- Reads tickets on the kitchen screen, and flags what has run out so the counter stops selling it.
Who it is for
The owner who is in the room.
Brewly is made for owner-run cafes and small teams, one outlet at a time: the person who knows the regulars by name and wants to keep knowing them as the cafe grows.
If you run a large chain with a central kitchen, custom purchasing and bespoke integrations, Brewly is not the right fit yet, and we would rather tell you now than later.
We are in private beta, and we are shaping the system with the cafes working beside us. What this site describes is built and in use.
